EddieHub is a free community with a Discord server where Open Source developers gather to exchange knowledge and insights.

The community focuses on creating and supporting opportunities for those wanting to start a career in tech. Indeed, EddieHub mainly focuses on Open Source for those with varying tech abilities and at different stages of their tech journey. Joining is completely free and you don't have to be an expert developer.

Since the community's goal is to help you improve your technical expertise through Open Source, it organizes several events and regular meetings. On the one hand, you can participate in weekly meetings and live streams to get accountability, support, and guidance. On the other hand, there are also additional events such as interviews with experts for members to expand their knowledge.

Additionally, EddieHub has a Discord server with over 11,200 members from all over the world. This is an inclusive, welcoming space for developers of all levels to ask questions and help each other. Additionally, you can fill out a form to be part of the community's GitHub organization. This allows you to collaborate on interesting projects and increase your visibility.

Meetings

Every Saturday at 1:30 PM BST the community gathers at public speaking meetings. These meetings serve as a way to practice and learn public speaking skills within a Discord audio-only call. There is also a monthly community call in Discord, where all the community gathers to exchange knowledge and insights.

On the other hand, there are also monthly Sponsors' Calls. On these calls, members share ideas and experiences with Eddie and other sponsors. To join these calls, you need to support Eddie by being a GitHub sponsor, which costs $1/month.

Learning Events

EddieHub organizes several events for members to further deepen their knowledge. You can join guest interviews with experts in the field and weekly live streams where your projects can be reviewed and you can receive feedback and encouragement.

Networking Events

The EddieHub community gathers inside a Discord server where members can ask questions and share their projects, whilst getting guidance and support from Eddie, the community's expert moderators as well as all members of the community. This Discord server allows you to chat in an inclusive, safe, and supportive environment in channels ranging from databases to public speaking and hackathons. 

On the other hand, you can also join the community's GitHub to collaborate on interesting projects and increase your discoverability.

Content Library

EddieHub launches weekly tutorials on its YouTube channel. Tutorials explain key concepts of Open Source ranging from how to get started on GitHub to Documentation, Automated Testing, and Continuous Delivery (CI and CD).On the other hand, the community's newsletter features achievements by community members, suggested content, and upcoming events.
