GrowthClub is a peer support group for solo founders and entrepreneurs. It was founded in 2020 by Maxim Zavadskiy and has a monthly subscription fee of $25.
The community's meetings are completely virtual by video calls. They consist of one-to-one, 30-minute conversations with other members. The meetings are weekly and you can meet one new founder each week. However, if you have a tight schedule you can modify the meetings' proportion to have only one or two a month. Additionally, if you find certain members to be especially helpful, you can schedule follow-up calls with them.
With over 200 members from 40+ countries around the world, all across different industries and business development stages, meetings at GrowthClub can provide you with valuable, diverse insight to grow your business. Hearing someone else advice and feedback can work wonders to motivate you and impulse you to go further.
Every week you receive an invitation to join a meeting with a founder matched especially to you. They will have similar business types and be in similar stages of development. This ensures that meetings are productive. Everyone knows the terms and language used in a specific industry.
On the other hand, to make the most out of the 30 minutes of the meeting, GrowthClub provides a framework with structured questions for each member to answer, diving deep into a specific topic.
High-quality members:
The high entry barrier ensures that everyone in the community has the amount of expertise necessary and is able to bring value with their advice and support.
Diversity of viewpoints, businesses, and industries:
There are members on GrowthClub from a lot of different industries and from 40+ countries, ensuring diversity of opinions and viewpoints that can bring valuable insights to your business.
Focus on what's important:
GrowthClub's meetings take place using one of six different frameworks. Each framework has a structured set of questions that each participant has to answer, helping to productively set priorities and to express what are the business' goals, challenges, and possible solutions.
Get feedback and motivation:
The goal of the community is to help your business grow, and getting advice and feedback in a peer-to-peer format helps to provide you with insights and leverage the expertise from other entrepreneurs and founders.
You can try a meeting for free with a core member of GrowthClub to evaluate if you'd like to join.
Founders who want to join GrowthClub will be selected according to criteria like revenue, funding, startup experience, etc. The average members' yearly revenue is $60,000.
Virtual
GrowthClub's meetings are one-on-one with other members of the community. The meetings are weekly or they can also be bi-monthly or monthly, according to your schedule. All meetings are virtual by video calls.
Every week you have the opportunity to meet different founders. You can also do follow-up meetings with the members you found most helpful. The meetings last 30 minutes, and since there are peer-to-peer calls, there are no mentors or facilitators.
To make the most out of those 30 minutes, GrowthClub meetings utilize one of six frameworks (for example "Focus", "Prioritization", "Decision-Making", etc). These frameworks bring structure to the meetings and are composed of questions for the meeting's participants to answer, gaining valuable insight and going deep into a specific topic.
If you are a member of the Gold Plan, you have the ability to create 2 roundtable sessions per month. The purpose of these sessions is to get several founders to help you solve specific business challenges.
Roundtables can serve as an invaluable learning opportunity since you will discover advice, feedback, and insights you probably wouldn't have thought of on your own. That's the value of community!
Besides gathering once or many times per month in a video call, members of GrowthClub interact on a private Slack group. Inside the group, conversations are sorted by topics so members can find what they are looking for easily and quickly.
The Slack group is available online, 24/7 for you to post updates about your projects and different problems you are facing. You can also interact with other members in separate channels to form deeper bonds with them, sharing hobbies and personal interests.
The GrowthClub's online group is an excellent opportunity to expand your professional network and maybe making some friends along the way!
The private Slack group serves as an always-updated content library. Inside, you will be able to find resources such as blog posts, videos, podcasts, books, and more. Resources are recommended by members, that share about different topics relevant to solo founders.
"Thanks to GrowthClub I was able to talk about my project and growth plan to people I did not know before. Together we were able to define our own weaknesses and at least create a plan for how to deal with them. I had really great feedback from any peer I was talking to." -Sergii Mykhailov
