Description

Women in Product is an NGO that provides free education, events, and community for women to elevate their careers in product management.

You can join the community by requesting to enter the online Facebook group. This group gathers over 27,500 women from all over the world, from diverse backgrounds, and with different goals. It's a supportive space where you can ask questions and receive relevant, useful advice to grow your career. The group welcomes both women currently working in product management, as well as women who are aspiring to get a role in that field.

There are also individual, smaller versions of that Facebook group for every WIP local chapter. The community has 27 chapters, most of which are in different regions of the United States. There are also chapters in China, India, Singapore, and Canada. If you live in an area that is near one of the chapters, joining one is a great way to interact with your local community. You will meet women from your area and also participate in in-person meetups.

On the other hand, the community also hosts virtual events. You can participate in a wide range of regular workshops, webinars, Q&As with experts, and panel discussions. There are several new events each month. Additionally, WIP has a special calendar for members to share events from other communities related to product management. Virtual events are a great way to further grow your knowledge and put it into practice to move forward.

Furthermore, you can participate in the community's annual conference. Every year WIP invites dozens of expert speakers. The conference gathers women in product management from across the world who participate in live Q&As and roundtable discussions. The annual conference is also a great networking opportunity, where you will meet like-minded women and get exposure to advancement opportunities with WIP's partners.

Quote

"Women in Product has given me a conduit to connect with women professionals in my community. By being involved in a chapter, I was able to push myself outside of my "networking comfort zone" and make more meaningful connections with my peers." -Stacey
