Groove is a mobile app that allows freelancers worldwide to join 50-minute deep focus sessions with peers, to stay productive and accountable.
The app is currently in beta mode, which means that in order to join, you need to complete a form to enter the waitlist. Alternatively, you can also ask for an invitation link from someone who has already joined the community.
Groove has a mobile app for both Android and iOS. Inside, you will be able to join 50-minute deep focus coworking sessions. Each session includes other three or four participants, who commonly are like-minded freelancers and entrepreneurs from all over the world. At the beginning of the session, you will be able to connect with them via video. Each participant has the opportunity to state their goals and what they wish to accomplish in the session.
After each one shared their goals, the session begins. You will have 50 full minutes to focus on the task at hand, and you can keep communicating with the rest via chat. At the end of the session, it's regrouping time. This means that everyone joins on video again to reflect on what they have accomplished during the session.
Groove is currently free and allows you to participate in as many coworking sessions as you want during a given day. It's indeed a great idea to feel less isolated as a remote worker. The app allows you to connect with other freelancers from all over the world, stay productive, and get accountability by sharing your goals.
