Startup Grind is the largest community for startups in the world. Founded in 2010, nowadays it has over 5M members from 125+ countries. The community gathers founders, entrepreneurs, innovators, and creators, with the goal of bringing together like-minded, diverse individuals and promoting inclusivity in a non-judgmental space designed for everyone to learn, grow, and evolve.

Startup Grind hosts local chapters many times per month in cities all around the world, as well as virtual events. They also host two annual events for startups: the Global Conference (with the Startup Summit) and the Europe Conference. The community crafted the events to allow founders to network with key players in their field, learn from expert speakers, get mentorship opportunities, and participate in workshops and roundtable events.

The community has a membership for students, startups, and partners. The student membership has the goal of bringing together entrepreneurial-minded students from universities from all over the world, to connect and inspire each other on virtual events. They also get curated educational content, mentorship opportunities, and get to connect to companies they want to work with.

On the other hand, if you belong to an early-stage, tech-driven startup, you are eligible to join the startup membership. Members of the startup membership get access to the annual Startup Summit. They can also participate in a private platform to connect and learn with other members.

Additionally, members of the startup membership get special discounts from Startup Grind's partners, mentorship opportunities, and curated content. Lastly, they can also enjoy introductions to investors, and showcase their brands.

The memberships are free, but you have to pass an application process and get accepted to join the community.

Requirements

You have to pass an application process to access any membership. For the startup membership, you have to run a startup that's in its early stages, from MVP to Series A. The startup has to be in the tech industry (service-based businesses are not a good fit).

Meetings

Members of Startup Grind enjoy several events per month. These events are of diverse nature, both virtual and in-person, both to learn and to network. The events are different according to your membership level.

As a member of the Startup membership, you get access to Startup Grind's own private platform to interact with like-minded, diverse founders and entrepreneurs in the tech industry. You also have virtual workshops, roundtable events, and mentorship opportunities.

On the other hand, as a member of the Student membership, you can participate in virtual happy hours, hackathons, roundtable discussions, and mentorship sessions to learn and collaborate with other entrepreneurial students and top companies looking to hire new rising talents.

Learning Events

Many times per month, Startup Grind hosts virtual and in-person events all around the world, dedicated to educating startup founders and entrepreneurs. Members of the startup membership have access to virtual workshops and in-person roundtable events with expert speakers, leaders, and investors. These events are an excellent opportunity to network as well.

On the other hand, the community hosts an annual Global Conference where the "Startup Summit" takes place. It's an intensive one-day Bootcamp for pre-seed, seed, and Series A startups. The Startup Summit includes workshops and roundtables on topics for early-stage startups and scaleups, such as marketing, fundraising, sales, leadership, products, and teams. This event is ideal to network as well. The next Global Conference will be from February 28 to March 2, 2022, in Silicon Valley.

Lastly, Startup Grind host another annual event, the Europe Conference, a similar event but for European startups and founders. 2021's Europe Conference was completely virtual.

Networking Events

Members of the Startup program can interact with each other in the community's own platform. This online platform is a place where members can introduce themselves and get to know other members of the group. Inside the community, there is also a space to self-promote your startup and meet founders of other startups.

Students have also networking opportunities to leverage, such as virtual happy hours, where they get to know university students from all over the world. Startup Grind also helps them to connect with VCs, executives, and top companies looking to hire entrepreneurial students.

On the other hand, the Global Conference and the Europe Conference, annual events organized for Startup Grind, are also great opportunities to connect with like-minded people and to expand your professional network
