TechUp Africa is a free community that empowers and supports young Africans who want to build successful careers in tech.
This community is a PAWEN (Pan African Women Empowerment Network) initiative. Tech Africa provides access to education, training, and resources that help young people build the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in tech.
TechUp Africa has a Discord server and a Whatsapp group where members are able to interact and chat in real time about diverse tech career paths. These online groups allow you to meet like-minded peers and expand your professional network at the same time. Members also use the groups to ask questions, get support and advice, and share their wins and failures.
On the other hand, the community organizes diverse events, activities, and even a mentorship program for members to get a top-notch education. All of these initiatives are completely free for members. Additionally, you can get into a scholarship program to study a tech-related career.
Lastly, Techup Africa provides its members with lots of career opportunities. You can explore the job board to find your next (or first!) job in tech, as well as enjoy the #opportunities channel in Discord.

Learning Events
The TechUp Africa community organizes diverse learning events for members to get a world-class education and start their careers in tech.
The events include the Annual Women in Tech Conference, the TechUp Africa Mentoring Program, and TechDevTalks (discussions with experts). You also have the opportunity to obtain scholarships to get the best tech education.
Networking Events
TechUp Africa members interact inside a Discord server. This is the place where they discuss diverse tech career paths, such as software engineering, data analytics, web development, technical writing, blockchain, UX/UI design, and more.
The Discord server is very useful for getting useful advice and support from other members, as well as meeting fellow aspiring tech professionals.
On the other hand, you can also join a Whatsapp group to chat in real time with other members.
