Description

Founded in 1996 by Brian Thatcher, Convene is a United States-based community. It offers group meetings for Christian entrepreneurs and CEOs looking to grow their businesses and becoming leaders of their industries and local communities.

Convene's mission is to help business owners to become high-impact leaders based on Christian values to honor God. The community is based on the philosophy that a business owner shouldn't focus only on making money.

There are more aspects to life such as family, friends, and spirituality. These also need nurturing to reach a balanced and fulfilling life. A Christian business person should focus on giving to their local and global community, more than taking from it.

To fulfill their mission, Convene offer several in-person meetings. These meetings serve the purpose of connecting with like-minded peers and sharing insights and valuable information. The ultimate goal is to grow your business and you as a person in the process.

If you own a mature company that makes $2+ million per year, you are eligible to join Forum Groups. These consist of monthly, all-day meetings. These groups also offer executive coaching to optimize your business and expert speakers who share best practices for succeeding in their specific industry.

On the other hand, if you own a startup or a small business that makes less than $2 million per year, you can join a Genesis Group. These meetings take place monthly and have a half-day duration. On a Genesis Group, you have access to executive coaching to improve your leadership abilities.

If you don't live in the United States, you can join an Online Peer Group. These groups are remote and offer a bi-monthly, 2-hour video conference with executive coaching.

Learning Events

Many times per year, you will get the opportunity to access Convene events (for free or for a highly discounted price!). The events feature leaders from the Faith-Work movement, from which you will be able to learn a lot and improve as a business leader. The events are mostly conferences with expert speakers that discuss relevant topics for the community.

Networking Events

Convene organizes events, retreats, and conferences each year. They also invite Christian leaders and expert speakers to bring members together under a shared faith.

These events, besides being an awesome learning opportunity, are an ideal occasion to network and meet like-minded people that share the same values. With Convene events, you will be able to amplify your professional network but also to develop strong relationships that can become true friendships over time.

Content Library

Convene members can access a full library of master's level content designed for executives and CEOs who want to develop high-impact strategies and plans for their businesses.

You can also access whitepapers, live streams, blog posts, book summaries, and podcasts, all designed to help you become a leader with a strong faith foundation.

You and your group will be guided through all of these resources by your team Chair, in a well-organized framework that will help you advance through the curricula and make the most out of Convene's learning experience.

"What Convene taught me is how to see life more holistically and learn how to grow in life with a balanced approach, without sacrificing something that will end being a big disappointment in the future." -Elyas Balta
