Creative Huddle is a free, inclusive community for creatives. You can join no matter your industry, expertise, background, or skill level.
The community's online group gathers over 1,550 members from all over the world. It works on Slack, and it has every channel imaginable to get advice, expand your professional network, get resources, or simply make friends and share personal interests.
There are several categories that organize the different channels. "Help" is where you can go to find advice, constructive criticism, and feedback. You can post your resume, cover letter, and portfolio to get reviewed by other members. You can also get help on technical issues regarding your specific field.
On the other hand, "connect" is the ideal category for networking. Channels inside this category allow you to share your social media and portfolio with other members. You can also visit the job board to find your next career opportunity. Additionally, there are specific channels to share events like workshops and webinars and to find and join collaborations with other creatives.
The "fun" category allows you to interact with other members on a deeper, personal level. These are channels where members share hobbies such as cooking, music, plants, memes, pets, and films/TV shows.
For more specific advice, related to your industry, you can join a channel that best matches your field. These are channels inside the "topic" category and include disciplines such as acting, writing, dancing, illustration, all types of design, sculpture, typography, painting, drawing, UI/UX, and more.
Lastly, there is one more channel category, "resources". Inside, you can find helpful resources members share every day. To further grow in your career, join the Creative Huddle Mentoring Program.
It's free both for mentors and mentees. With a pairing system, they will match you with a mentor/mentee that will be a good fit for you. As part of the program, you can participate in only-time meetings or meet regularly for a set period of time (1 month, 3 months, or 6 months).
